This is an ecclesiastic journal, and it is published from 1st of January until 25th of December 1857, and from 1st of March 1858 until 19th of February 1859. It is published by D. Dionisie helped by I. Venescu.
Between 14th and 21st of June 1858 it is published under the title of “Foaie extraordinara a Predicatorului” (Extraordinary sheet of the Predicator).

Acesta este un jurnal ecleziastic numit “Predicatorul” si publicat de la 1 ianuarie la 25 decembrie 1857 si de la 1 martie 1858 la 19 februarie 1859. Este publicat de D. Dionisie cu ajutorul lui I. Venescu.
Intre 14 si 21 iunie 1858 apare sub titlul “Foaie extraordinara a Predicatorului”.

This is the first Romanian book I’m showing, written with the old Cyrillic characters and the old dialect. There are two books tied together in one volume.

The first book is called: “Cincizeci si doua de istorii dumnezeiesti ale Vechiului Testament” (in translation: “Fifty two divine histories of the Old Testament”). The second one displays no date, but it must be around the same period, and is called: “Catihismul cel Mare” (“The great katihisis”)

The book has been poorly restored in a very unprofessional way, but the important thing is that the writing is visible and the pages are well tied to the spine.
